The position is temporary with the option to an extension of 5 years.
The research group is equipped with two SEMs, three TEMs (among them an aberration-corrected TEM (Titan)) with EELS/EDS/HADDF facilities, and various equipments for sample preparation. The project leader is responsible for original research on SEM/TEM, for the coordination of TEM/SEM-related project and for the active participation on nanostructured materials investigation of catalysis/energy-storage application. We offer the possibility to perform independent research projects outside the nanostructure project. Women are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics, chemistry or materials science. Solid background in electron microscopy with at least two years post-doc experience in the TEM area is a prerequisite. Women are encouraged to apply.
