Art. 1 - Announcement purposes and general conditions
1. This announcement regulates the admission requirements to the research doctoral schools of Ca' Foscari University of Venice for the 26th cycle (2010/11 academic year)
2. Failure to comply with the regulations of this announcement will result in the exclusion from the examination.
3. The submission of the application, as set forth in article 5, entails acceptance of the regulations of this announcement by the candidate.
4. The attachments are integral part of the herewith mentioned call.
5. All the communications to the candidates that concern the present call will be sent per email by the University. For this purpose, the University will use the email provided by the candidate when he/she registers online (art. 5, subsection 2).
6. Any further change or addition to the present call will be published online following this path: www.unive.it

1. Ca' Foscari University of Venice starts the 26th cycle of the following research doctoral courses for the
2010/2011 academic year:

§ Doctoral School in Language, Cognition and Education Sciences
5. Research Doctorate in Linguistics
6. Research Doctorate in Cognition and Education Sciences
§ "Ca' Foscari" Inter-University Doctoral School in Juridical Sciences
7. Research Doctorate in European Law on Civil, Commercial and Labour Contracts
§ International Doctoral School in the Social History of Europe and the Mediterranean
8. Research Doctorate in European Social History from the Middle Ages to the Present Times
§ Doctoral School in Humanities
9. Research Doctorate in Philosophy
10. Research Doctorate in Ancient History and Archaeology
11. Research Doctorate in Italian Studies and Classical and Medieval Philology
§ Doctoral School in Sciences and Technologies (SDST)

2. The admission to the doctoral courses is subject to a competitive examination based either on the
assessment of both qualifications and examinations, or simply on the assessment of qualifications.
3. For each of the courses listed above in paragraph 1, please refer to the attached sheets (Attachment "A"),
which are an integral part of this announcement for what concerns research topics, available places, admission
requirements, as well as assessment criteria and procedures to draw up the lists of the qualified students.

4. The candidates are required to come to the examinations (if expected) on the day and at the time indicated
in Attachment "A" with a valid ID card.
5. Without prejudice to the terms for the application submission, the number of available places may be increased
through future provisions of funds granted by public research bodies or by private qualified corporations.
6. Courses will start in the month of September 2010. The length of the doctoral course is three years.
