CRI, the Research and Innovation Centre of the Fondazione Edmund Mach is a major research Institution focusing on Environmental and Agricultural Sustainability. Its mission is the improvement of the land based economy by increasing the quality and value of fruit crops and providing innovative solutions to sustain biodiversity and the environment. Currently, the Centre comprises over 250 staff, coordinates international PhD programmes and operates research programs fully integrated with state-of-the-art genomics and postgenomics platform technologies

With a view of strengthening its expanding research effort, the Centre is now seeking to recruit:

  • Position : Postdoctoral Research Scientist
  • Qualifiction : Molecular microbiologist / Biotechnologist
  • Job Description : Research will focus on microbial bio-effectors on plants. The objective is to dissect to mechanisms involved in the tripartite interactions between rhizosphere microorganisms, pathogens and the plant, with specific insight in the plant self-protection mechanisms elicited by the soil microbes and their bio-active metabolites. Experience in chemical analysis of microbial metabolites and metagenomic techniques are preferred; Ref. Code ENVMIC

All openings are effective immediately and will be for three years initially, with a possibility of extension and/or transformation into permanent position for the best candidates.
