To celebrate the University's research successes, the Faculty of Health and Social Care, University of Hull, is offering 2 UK/EU Scholarships or International Fees Bursaries in the following areas of research expertise.
Applications are welcomed from students who wish to study subjects allied to one of our Research Development Groups (RDG’s):
Wellbeing in Long Term Conditions
- Skin health and integrity
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Self-management in long term conditions
- Lifeworld led care and education
- Humanisation
Maternal Reproductive and Sexual Health
- Teenage sexual health/pregnancy
- Obesity and reproduction
- Psychological aspects of maternal/reproductive/sexual health
Health Technologies, Innovation and Intervention
Applications are sought from suitably-qualified people wishing to pursue research leading to PhD status under the supervision of leading researchers.

Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum of a UK upper second class Honours degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.
Full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship will include fees at the ‘home/EU' student rate and maintenance (£13726, in 2014/15), subject to final confirmation) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress.
The International PhD Fee bursaries will cover full tuition fees for full-time overseas students for three years, depending on satisfactory progress, but no living expenses.
PhD students at the University of Hull follow modules for research and transferable skills development and gain a Masters level Certificate, or Diploma, in Research Training, in addition to their research degree.
