50 PhD Studentships at City University, London, UK

City University London is a global University committed to academic excellence with a focus on business and the professions and an enviable central London location.
The University is continuing its investment in academic excellence by offering up to 50 fully-funded, full-time, three year Doctoral Studentships commencing in October 2013.
The Studentships will include a waiver of tuition fees and will provide a student maintenance grant (£16,000 per annum tax free in 2014/15).
The University provides a research and enterprise development programme to support the development of research skills.
Applications are sought from exceptional UK and international graduates. We would particularly welcome applications from suitably-qualified women and candidates from minority groups who are under-represented in many areas of research.

12 PhD Studentships at Bloomsbury Colleges, London, UK

The Bloomsbury Colleges PhD Studentships

The Bloomsbury Colleges consortium brings together six University of London colleges comprising Birkbeck (Bbk), Institute of Education (IoE), London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Royal Veterinary College (RVC), School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and The School of Pharmacy (SoP).

The consortium is offering twelve PhD Studentships, each of three years duration, to start October 2011. The Studentships will cover course fees (at the usual level for UK and EU Studentships) and a student stipend. They will encompass a wide range of topics spanning the biomedical and social sciences, reflecting the diversity of disciplines represented in the consortium. The Studentships will be supervised by two of the partner colleges with the lead college indicated after each Studentship.

Around 4/5th of Middlesex University¹s research in RAE2008 was rated as of international standing. An important aspect of our strategy to build on this success is to strengthen our research student base.

Consequently, we are funding up to 30 fully funded research studentships for an October 2009 start. Applications from suitably qualified candidates are invited in Engineering and Information Sciences. Opportunities also exist in Art and Education, Business and Law, Biomedicine and Environment, and Health and Social Sciences.
