DAAD Summer Academy on Wireless Communications: New Technologies and Research Challenges

The International Graduate School on Mobile Communications invites students at the Master level or beyond to its annual Summer Academy. The Summer Academy takes place August 17 to 28, 2009 at the Ilmenau University of Technology.
The Academy introduces you into the field of the Graduate School. Besides the current state of the art in mobile communications, the school will introduce you in current and future research topics in this area. Examples are methods for the self-organization of mobile communication systems supporting a quick response to major disasters by autonomously and automatically repairing the infrastructure. This includes radio and antenna systems as well as issues related to network and information management.
The Academy addresses students interested in research in this area who want to develop their knowledge in the field to pursue a Doctoral or Ph.D. degree in this area. The Academy will stimulate you in finding a research topic and will also get you in touch with potential advisors for your Doctoral research.
The Summer Academy provides financial support for 20 participants and is funded by the German exchange service (DAAD).
