We have openings for
Ph.D.-students and Post-Doc researchers in
Bioinformatics und Biostatistics
at the University of Regensburg, Germany.
In our research projects, we model oncogenic signal transduction pathways
for the computational classification of cancer.
The successsful candidate will have an M.Sc. or Ph.D. respectively in
bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, mathematics, medicine or
biology.
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields are advantageous but not
required:
* Machine learning
* Statistics
* Microarray analysis
* Cancer biology
You should be interested in developing new methods in the topics listed
above and/or in collaborations with project partners.
We are an interdisciplinary group working with mathematical models on the
one hand but also perform a lot of applied research in collaboration with
clinical and biological groups.
Post-doc positions are limited to 2 years but can be prolonged.
Ph.D.-positions are limited to 3 years.
Handicapped candidates with equal qualification will be treated
preferentially.
