As you probably know, VLIR-UOS grants every year about 16 scholarships to valuable candidates for our MSc. programme in Physical Land Resources. Since October 2012 onwards students can apply for the VLIR scholarship to start their studies in the academic year 2013-2014.
Since your country of origin (INDONESIA) is on the country list for VLIR-UOS scholarship, we would be grateful if you could forward this information to all valuable candidates you know who may be interested to follow our MSc. programme in Physical Land Resources.

Admission requirements
Each application will be evaluated by a board of admission of the specific programme and has to be approved by the Faculty Council and by the Rector’s office.
General Entry conditions
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years with good overall scores (at least a second upper class or equivalent) from a university or recognized equivalent.
Specific academic admission criteria
Applicants are expected to have a basic science training in (1) mathematics or statistics and (2) chemistry or biochemistry, and an overall academic education background in a relevant discipline like (either) agriculture, biology, forestry, environment, land and water management, physical geography, geology or civil engineering. Relevant research or working experience of about 2 years is recommended but not a prerequisite, unless the former field of study (degree obtained) was not directly relevant for or pertaining to soil science or land resources engineering.
Specific language requirements
The applicant must be proficient in the language of the course or training programme, i.e. English.
The English language proficiency can be met by providing a certificate (validity of 5 years) of one of the following tests:

The following applicants are exempted from providing the language certificate:

1 | Applicants who have a diploma (Secondary Education, Academic Bachelor Degree, Master Degree) issued by an institution officially recognized by the Flemish Government | This exemption is not valid for applicants for an Erasmus Mundus program, thus Flemish students have also to provide a language certificate or comply with the rule below. |
2 | Applicants who have obtained with success 1 year of bachelor or master studies or 60 ECTS in a university or recognized equivalent with English as medium of instruction | The applicant has to add to his application file a written report in English (his/her bachelor or master thesis or scientific report) and a certificate of the university confirming that he/she has followed in his/her university or recognized equivalent during 1 year of study all classes, practical work and exams in English. |
